હિમાલયના ક્ષેત્રમાં સદીઓથી યેતિ તરીકે ઓળખાતા હિમમાનવ વસતા હોવાની વાયકા છે અને અનેક લોકો યેતિને જોયાના દાવા કરી ચૂક્યાં છે પરંતુ આજદિન સુધી યેતિનું અસ્તિત્ત્વ હોવાના પુરાવા મળ્યાં નથી હિમાલયના પહાડોમાં યેતિ તરીકે ઓળખાતા હિમમાનવ વસતા હોવાની વાયકા તો ઘણી જૂની છે પરંતુ ભારતીય સેનાના એક દાવા બાદ ધરતી પર હિમમાનવ અસ્તિત્ત્વ ધરાવે છે કે નહીં એ અંગે નવેસરથી ચર્ચા છેડાઇ ગઇ છે. સેનાના એક પર્વતારોહી અભિયાન દળે કેટલીક તસવીરો જાહેર કરીને દાવો કર્યો છે કે યેતિના પગલાના નિશાન છે. સેનાનું કહેવું છે કે આ માયાવી હિમમાનવ આ પહેલા માત્ર મકાલૂ-બરુન નેશનલ પાર્કમાં જ જોવા મળ્યો છે. હિમાલયના લિંબુવાન ક્ષેત્રમાં આવેલો મકાલુ-બરુન નેશનલ પાર્ક દુનિયાનું એક માત્ર સંરક્ષિત ક્ષેત્ર છે  જ્યાં ૨૬ હજાર ફૂટની ઊંચાઇએ આવેલા ઉષ્ણકટિબંધીય વનની સાથે સાથે બરફાચ્છાદિત પહાડો છે.  બાળપણથી સાંભળવા મળતી કથાઓ પ્રમાણે યેતિ એક વાનર જેવું પ્રાણી છે જે સરેરાશ માનવી કરતાં ક્યાંય વધારે ઊંચુ અને શરીરે તગડું છે. યેતિના શરીર પર લાંબા વાળની ફર જેવી રુંવાટી હોય છે અને તે માનવીની જેમ બે પગે ચાલે છે. એવી માન્યતા છે કે તે હિમાલય, સાઇબીરિયા,

હા. ભારત સરકારમાં હવે ઉચ્ચ અને સચિવની કક્ષાએ એવા અધિકારીઓ સત્તામાં આવી રહ્યા છે જેમને કોર્પોરેટ સરકારી અધિકારીઓ જ કહેવાય. સરકારી અધિકારીઓના પરંપરાગત કાફલામાં પ્રયોગરૂપે આ એક નવી આબોહવા છે. કોર્પોરેટ મેનેજરો કક્ષાની નવી ટેલન્ટને સરકાર સીધી ભરતીથી હવે કેટલાક મંત્રાલયો અને અન્ય જવાબદાર ક્ષેત્રોમાં નિયુક્ત કરી રહી છે. કેન્દ્ર સરકારે હમણાં પ્રાઇવેટ સેક્ટરમાંથી વિવિધ નવ અધિકારીઓને જોઈન્ટ સેક્રેટરી એટલે કે સંયુક્ત સચિવ પદે નિમણૂંક આપી છે.  છેક ગયા જૂન મહિનામાં ભારત સરકારે આ માટેની દરખાસ્તોને જાહેર નિમંત્રણ આપ્યું હતું. એટલે કે હવે આ નવનિયુક્ત સચિવો કે જેઓ પોતપોતાના ક્ષેત્રના નિષ્ણાંતો છે તેઓ યુપીએસસીની કોઈ પણ, આઇએએસ, સહિતની સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરીક્ષાઓ આપ્યા વિના સીધા જ નિમણૂંક પામ્યા છે. સરકારનો હેતુ દેશમાં વ્યાપ્ત તુમારશાહીને અભિનવ સ્વરૂપમાં ઢાળવાનો છે. જોકે આ પ્રણાલિકા એવી છે કે એનો બહુ આસાનીથી દુરૂપયોગ થઈ શકે. છતાં બહુ જ સાવધાની રાખીને સરકારે યોગ્ય દાવેદારોને નિયુક્તિ આપી છે. ટૂંક સમયમાં જ તેઓ પોતાનો કાર્યભાર સંભાળીને કામગીરી શરૂ કરી દેશે. આ પ્રકારની નિયુક્તિને જાહેર વહીવટમાં લેટરલ એન્ટ્રી કહ

જૂની પેઢીના તમામ લોકો તેમની નવી પેઢી માટે એમ માનવા લાગ્યા છે કે અમારાથી જે અને જેટલું થયું એટલું તમારાથી થશે નહિ...! રાજ્યના સ્થાપના દિને આંશિક આત્મદર્શન...! આજે ગુજરાત રાજ્યનો સ્થાપના દિન છે. આપણે ત્યાં જે કેટલાક ઉત્સવોનો સૌથી ઓછો મહિમા છે તેમાં આજનો દિવસ આવે છે. આ જ કારણ છે કે ગુજરાતમાં કદી કોઇ પ્રાદેશિક રાજકીય પક્ષ હોવાનો નહિ અને હોય તો તો એ સફળ જવાનો નહિ. જે પ્રજાની નજર સતત આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્ષિતિજો તરફ હોય અને દરેક શેરીમાં વિદેશ જવા ઝંખતા યુવાપંખીઓ સતત પાંખો ફફડાવતા હોય ત્યાં કુંઠિત પ્રદેશવાદના બીજ કદી પાંગરે નહિ. અને છતાં પોતાપણા માટે ગુજરાતીઓને એમ તો કોઇ પહોંચી શકે નહિ. રાજસ્થાન, મધ્યપ્રદેશ સહિતના અનેક રાજ્યો હજુ આજેય એવા છે જ્યાં પ્રદેશવાદ પાંગરતો જ નથી. ગુજરાતના ઈતિહાસની ભવ્યોજ્વલ વાતોમાં પ્રજાના સંઘર્ષ અને એમાંથી બહાર આવવાની એની અદ્વિતીય કળાના ખજાનાઓ છુપાયેલા પડયા છે. આજે ગુજરાત સંયોગોના એક વિશિષ્ટ ત્રિભેટે એટલે કે ક્રોસરોડ પર ઊભું છે. કેટલાક એવા નવા પડકારોએ ગુજરાતના સામાજિક-કૌટુંબિક જીવનમાં મુંઝવણો ઊભી કરી છે કે જૂની પેઢીના તમામ લોકો તેમની નવી પેઢી માટે એમ માનવા લાગ્યા છ

વડાપ્રધાન મોદીનો પ્રભાવ મતદારો પર બહુ ના પડે એટલા માટે વિપક્ષોએ ઘણી યોજનાઓ બનાવી હતી. પરંતુ ચૂંટણી હવે જ્યારે અંતિમ તબક્કાઓ તરફ છે ત્યારે દેખાઇ આવે છે કે વિપક્ષોએ તૈયાર કરેલો પ્લાન બહુ કામમાં નથી આવ્યો. તમે મોદી તરફી હોવ કે વિરોધી હોવ પણ તમારે એ તો સ્વિકારવું જોઇએ કે મોદીએ એકલા હાથે પ્રચાર ઝુંબેશ સંભાળી હતી. ઉમેદવાર કોઇ પણ હોય પણ મોદીએ જોરદાર પ્રચાર કર્યો હતો. મોટાભાગના મતદારો શું માગે છે તેનો તેમને ખ્યાલ આવી ગયો હતો. એમ કહી શકાય કે આ ચૂંટણીમાં મોદીનું વ્યક્તિત્વ લોહ  ચુંબક સમાન હતું. મોદીના આસપાસ ચૂંટણી ફરતી હતી એમ પણ કહી શકાય. વિપક્ષોની સતત આક્ષેપબાજી વચ્ચે પણ પ્રચાર સતત ચાલુ રખાયો હતો. એક વાત સ્પષ્ટ છે કે તમે મોદીને પ્રેમ કરો કે ધિક્કારો પણ તેમ તેમની અવગણના ના કરી શકોે. મોદી બ્રાન્ડ એવી ચાલી કે જાતિવાદી પોલીટીક્સ સાથે સંકળાયેલા ઉત્તર પ્રદેશના સમાજવાદી પક્ષ , બહુજન સમાજવાદી પક્ષ તેમજ બિહારનો લાલુ પ્રસાદ યાદવનો પક્ષ તેમના મતદારોને પોતાની સાથે જોડી રાખી શક્યા નહોતા. આ તેમના પરંપરાગત વોટ હતા. ના તો માયાવતીના જાટ વોટને પકડી રખાયા હતા કે ના તો અખિલેશના યાદવ વોટને પકડી રખાયા હતા. મોદીને

એક તરફ કાળઝાળ ગરમી અને બીજી તરફ પાણીની તીવ્ર તંગી વાળા વિસ્તારો જોઇએ ત્યારે કમકમાટી ઉભી થાય છે. માથે બેડાં લઇને ગરમીમાં ચાલતી સ્ત્રીઓને જોઇને એમ થાય છે કે દેશના વહિવટકારોએ ક્યારેય પાણી માટે વિચાર્યું જ નહોતું. મોટી યોજના કરાઇ છે પણ નાની યોજના તરફ ધ્યાન નથી અપાયું.  પાણી એ જીવન છે. શહેરોમાં જ્યાં પુરતું પાણી મળે છે એવા લોકોને પાણીની કોઇ કિંમત નથી. જે લોકો અછત ગ્રસ્ત વિસ્તારોમાં રહે છે તેમનું ગળું તો કાયમ તરસ્યું રહે છે. હવે તેા શહેરેમાં પણ પાણીના ધાંધીયા જોવા મળે છે. શહેરોમાં આવતી નવી સ્કીમોમાં ૨૪ કલાક પાણીની સવલત જેવું આકર્ષણ ઉમેરાય છે. શાળામાં પનિહારીનું ચિત્ર દોરવાની મઝા આવતી હતી. એ પનિહારી ગામના કૂવે પાણી ભરવા જતી અને માથે ત્રણ બેડાં હોય એવું ચિત્ર સૌ હોંશે હાંેેશે દોરતા હતા. પરંતુ આવી સ્થિતિ ગામડામાં આજે પણ હોય છે તે તો મોટા થયા પછી ખબર પડી છે.  ત્રણ બેડાં માથા પર મુકીને ચાર-પાંચ કિ.મી. કેડી પર ચાલતા જવું, ત્યાં પાણી માટે રાહ જોયા કરવી અને પછી એ ભરેલાં બેડાં માથે મુકીને એેટલુંજ અંતર કાપીને પાછા ફરવું એ આખી પ્રક્રીયા યાતના ભરેલી છે. શહેરનું અને ગામડાનું જીવન એમ બે ભાગ પડી ગયા

મારા પિતા ક્યારેય કોઈ વિશે અભિપ્રાય ન બાંધતા એ બાબત મને વારસામાં મળી છે, એવું તેમણે પિતાને અંજલિ આપતા કહેલું નાટયશાસ્ત્રના રચયિતા ભરતાચાર્યે બ્રહ્મા સમક્ષ યાચના કરી હતી, હું એક એવું રમકડું ચાહું છું, જે ઈર્ષા અને ક્રોધમાં ભાન ભૂલેલા માનવ સમાજને ફરીથી જગાડે. તે રમકડું એટલે અભિનય. અભિનેતા માત્ર પાત્રમાં નથી ઊતરતો, પાત્રમાં ઊતરી ગયેલા આપણને બહાર લાવવાનું કામ પણ કરતો હોય છે.  પાણીમાં પડી ગયેલો દડો બહાર કાઢવા પાણીમાં ઊતરવું પડે એમ વિવિધ વિકારોનો શિકાર એવા મનુષ્યને તેની વૃત્તિમાંથી બહાર લાવવા અભિનયની કળા સર્જાઈ છે. આટલો સીરિયસ ઉપાડ કર્યા પછી વાત કરવી છે હલકા-ફૂલકા અભિનેતા અક્ષય ખન્નાની. કોઈના નાકનું ટીચકું ચડી જશે. લે, અક્ષય ખન્ના પર લેખ હોય કે? એ ક્યાં એવો મોટો સ્ટાર છે? તેમને જણાવી દઈએ કે મોટા-નાનાના આપણા માપદંડ જ ખોટા છે.  કોઈપણ અભિનેતાને માત્ર તેની ફિલ્મોની સફળતાના ગ્રાફથી ન માપી શકાય.  અહીં ટેબલ પર લખતા-લખતા ગણવા બેસીએ તો અક્ષય ખન્નાની સારી ફિલ્મોની સૂચિ આ પ્રમાણે બને છે. બોર્ડર, તાલ, ગાંધી માય ફાધર, હંગામા, હલચલ, મેરે બાપ પહેલે આપ, દિલ ચાહતા હૈ... સુરત, તા. 30 એપ્રિલ 2019, મંગળવાર આજે સાંજે નારાયણ સાંઇને સુરતની સેસન્સ કોર્ટે સાધ્વી પર દુષ્કર્મ આચારવાના કેસમાં આજીવન કેદની સજા ફટકારતા ભારતના ઇતિહાસમાં કોઇ પિતા-પુત્રને આજીવન કેદની સજા મળી હોય એવું સંભવત પ્રથમ વખત બન્યું છે. આ અગાઉ નારાયણ સાંઇના પિતા અને પોતાની જાતને સંત તથા બાપુ કહેવડાવનારા આસારામને પણ જોધપુર કોર્ટે પણ પોતાની શિષ્યા પર દુષ્કર્મ કરવાના કેસમાં આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા ફટકારી હતી.  પિતા આસારામને એપ્રિલ 2018માં જ્યારે તેમના સગા પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઇને પણ એપ્રિલ 2019માં સુરતની કોર્ટે દુષ્કર્મના જ અપરાધમાં આજીવન કેદની સજા ફટકારી છે. જાણકારો કહે છે કે ભારતના ઇતિહાસમાં ભૂતકાળમાં કોઇ સંત પિતા-પુત્ર હોય અને દુષ્કર્મના જુદા જુદા કેસમાં બંને બાપ દિકરાને આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા થઇ હોય તેવું ક્યારે બન્યું નથી. એટલે કે આસારામ અને નારાયણ સાંઇને સજા કરવાની ઘટના પ્રથમ વખત બની છે. અત્રે નોંધનીય છે કે 2014ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણી પહેલા આસારામ બાપુ સામે રાજસ્થાનની એક સગીરવયની છોકરીએ ફરિયાદ કરી હતી. જેને પગલે આસારમ ભાગતા ફરતા હતા. અંતે પોલીસે તેમને પકડી લીધા હતા. આ જ રીતે આસારામના પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઇ વિરૂધ

સાધિકા બહેનો ગંગા-જમના અને સાધક કૌશલ ઠાકુર ઉર્ફે હનુમાનને ૧૦ વર્ષની કેદ અને દંડ (પ્રતિનિધિ દ્વારા) સુરત, તા.30 એપ્રિલ, 2019, મંગળવાર આજથી ૧૮ વર્ષ પહેલાં સુરતના જહાંગીરપુરા સ્થિત આસારામ આશ્રમમાં સત્સંગમાં આવેલી સાધિકા યુવતિ સાથે દુષ્કર્મના ગુનામાં દોષિત ઠરેલા આસારામના પુત્ર નારાયણને આજે સુરતની કોર્ટમાં એડીશ્નલ સેશન્સ જજ પી.એસ.ગઢવીએ દુષ્કર્મ તથા સૃષ્ટિ વિરુધ્ધના કૃત્યના ગુના બદલ આજીવન કેદની સજા ફટકારી હતી. તેમજ  રૃ.૧ લાખનો દંડ અને દંડ ન ભરે તો વધુ ૧ વર્ષની કેદની સજા ફટકારતો હુકમ કર્યો હતો.  જ્યારે નારાયણ સાંઈની કામલીલામાં મદદગારી કરનાર આરોપી સાધિકા બહેનો ધર્મિષ્ઠા ઉર્ફે ગંગા પ્રમોદ મિશ્રા, ભાવના પટેલ ઉર્ફે જમના,કૌશલ ઠાકુર ઉર્ફે હનુમાનને બળાત્કાર ગુજારવા તથા સૃષ્ટિ વિરુધ્ધના ગુનામાં ૧૦ વર્ષની કેદ,રૃ.૫ હજાર દંડ તથા દંડ ન ભરે તો વધુ ૬ માસની કેદની સજા ફટકારી હતી.જ્યારે નારાયણના ડ્રાઈવર રમેશ મલ્હોત્રાને મદદગારી તથા પુરાવાના નાશ કરવાના ગુનામાં કોર્ટે ૬ માસની કેદ,રૃ.૫૦૦ દંડ તથા દંડ ન ભરે તો વધુ ૧ માસની કેદની સજા ફટકારી છે. આસારામ સામે ઓગષ્ટ-૨૦૧૩માં જયપુરની છોકરીએ બળાત્કારની ફરિયાદ નોંધાવ્ય

પીડિતા સાથે મેઘનગરમાં પહેલી મુલાકાત વેળા નારાયણે પુછ્યું હતું,  કેવું છે ?  મારા વગર ગમે છે ? મારી પાસે આવવું છે ?  (પ્રતિનિધિ દ્વારા) સુરત, તા.30 એપ્રિલ, 2019, મંગળવાર સુરતના જહાંગીરપુરા સ્થિત આસારામ આશ્રમમાં આસારામના ચૂસ્ત અનુયાયી માતા-પિતાના કારણે શિબિર તથા સત્સંગમાં ગયેલી સુરતની બે બહેનોની જિંદગીને આસારામ અને તેના પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઈએ ચોક્કસ પ્રકારની મોડસ ઓપરેન્ડીથી પીંખી નાંખી હતી.  ઓક્ટોબર-૨૦૧૩માં બંને પિતા-પુત્રની હવસનો શિકાર બનેલી સાધિકા બહેનોએ પોતાની ફરિયાદમાં ગંભીર આક્ષેપો કર્યા હતા કે, સત્સંગ પુરો થયા બાદ ભક્તોને પ્રસાદ આપવાના બહાને બંને પિતા-પુત્રો પોતાનો શિકાર પસંદ કરીને હાથ દબાવતા હતા. ત્યારબાદ આશ્રમની અન્ય છોકરીઓ સાથે આગામી સત્સંગમાં આવવાનું કહેતા.  સુરતની પીડીતાને પણ નારાયણ સાંઈએ શિબીરના છેલ્લાં દિવસે આ જ મોડસ ઓપરેન્ડી અપનાવી મેઘનગરમા ત્રણ દિવસનો પ્રોગ્રામ છે. તું પણ આશ્રમની અન્ય છોકરીઓ સાથે આવજે મજા આવશે એમ કહીને હાથ દબાવ્યો હતો. પીડીતાના માતા-પિતા આસારામમાં ભગવાન જેવી શ્રધ્ધા અને ભક્તિભાવ ધરાવતા હતા. જેથી મોટા ભગવાને હાથ દબાવ્યો તે વિશે ભોગ બનનારને કોઈ શંકા કુશંકા

સુરત, તા. 30 એપ્રિલ 2019, મંગળવાર છેલ્લા 6 વર્ષથી ચાલી રહેલા નારાયણ સાઇ ના કેસમાં આજે કોર્ટે ચુકાદો આપતા તેને આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા થઈ હતી જ્યારે અન્ય આરોપીઓને દસ વરસની સજા થતાં પીડિતાએ સત્યની જીત થયું હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું. અને કહ્યું હતું કે સત્ય પરેશાન હો સકતા હૈ પરંતુ પરાજિત નહીં અને આજે સત્ય ની જીત થઈ છે. જેની મને ખુશી છે. આશ્રમની તમે સાધિકા જોડે દુષ્કર્મનો દેશ છેલ્લા કેટલાય સમયથી સુરત કોર્ટમાં ચાલી રહ્યો હતો. વર્ષ 2013માં સુરતની પીડિતા દ્વારા આ કેસ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. અને આ દુષ્કર્મ કેસમાં આજે આસારામના પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઈને સેશન્સ કોર્ટે આજીવન કેદની સજા ફટકારી હતી. આ ચુકાદા બાદ પીડિતા મીડિયા સામે આવી હતી અને જણાવ્યું હતું કે આજે તેને ખૂબ જ ખુશી થઈ રહી છે. કારણ કે આજે સત્યની જીત થઈ છે. આ ડીસીજન આવ્યું તે ખૂબ સારું છે. મને ન્યાયપ્રણાલિકા પર પહેલાથી જ વિશ્વાસ હતો. અને આજે મને એક ન્યાય નથી મળ્યો પરંતુ મારા જેવી બીજી ઘણી પીડિતાઓને ન્યાય મળ્યો છે કે જે જે બહાર નથી આવી શકી. મારો પરિવાર પહેલાથી આશારામમાં માનતો હતો તેથી અમે પણ નાનપણથી આશ્રમમાં જતા હતા. જયારે કેસ કર્યો ત્યારે કેસ પાછો લેવા
